Las Vegas (NV) - Rusty McAllister, president of the Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada, issued a warning to all Nevada residents about a phone campaign currently targeting the Clark County area requesting monetary donations.
“It has come to my attention through phone calls, emails and word of mouth that Clark County residents are receiving requests for financial donations on behalf of fire fighters. The request states the funds are for training and for taking care of injured fire fighters. We never solicit money from the community by telephone,” said McAllister. “We fundraise for charities such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association through our boot drive, but as an organization we never ask the public for money, much less over the phone.”
The Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada are taking this very seriously and ask all residents to spread the word about this phone campaign.
